Certified Construction Training Program
This training program prepares participants to earn the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)'s Core Construction Certificate. One week of work readiness curriculum includes résumé development, workplace professionalism, mock interviews, work ethics, basic computer skills, communications and financial management. Classroom training will include instruction in Basic Safety, Communication Skills, and Introduction to Construction Drawings.
The Certified Construction Training Program is intended to help ex-offenders, and other individuals interested in a career in construction, gain skills and prepare to re-enter the workforce.
Goodwill provides assistance in job searching – including access to Job Connection resources and personalized guidance from a case manager – but employment is not guaranteed.
Work Readiness Curriculum: One Week (takes place at Greenville-area Goodwill Job Connections)
Construction Curriclum will take place at Greenville Technical College's Barton Campus

Classes average 12 students and participants must meet these requirements:
- At Least 18 Years of Age
- Negative Drug Screen
- Education Assessment (TABE) or Bronze level or higher WorkKeys
If accepted, participants must attend orientation and successfully complete work readiness curriculum before beginning skills training.
Goodwill Industries reserves the right to make the final selection on all students due to limited space in the training program.
