Certified Manufacturing Technician Training Program - Greenville County
Certified Production Technician curriculum includes 200 hours of instruction in four key areas: safety, quality practices and measurements, manufacturing processes and production, and maintenance awareness. In addition to the Certified Production Technician curriculum, participants may also earn certification in Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and OSHA General Industry Safety. Participants will also complete 40 hours of Hands On Lab Training. Work readiness curriculum includes résumé development, workplace professionalism, mock interviews, work ethics, conflict resolution, and communications.
Goodwill provides assistance in job searching – including access to Job Connection resources and personalized guidance from a case manager – but employment is not guaranteed. Participants may also have the opportunity to earn scholarships for further industry-specific training.
Manufacturing Instruction Class: 8 weeks (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm)
Training takes place at Greenville Technical College's Buck Mickel Center (216 S. Pleasanburg Drive in Greenville)

Classes average 12 students and participants must meet these requirements:
- Criminal Background Check
- At Least 18 Years of Age
- Negative Drug Screen
- WorkKeys (Silver Required)
- High School Diploma or GED
