On Wednesday, July 13th at 3:00 pm, Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina will hold a Groundbreaking Celebration for its planned facility at North Pleasantburg Drive and Cypress Street in Greenville.  The new facility will include a retail store, donation center, and a Goodwill Job Connection.  It is scheduled to open in the spring of 2017.  

Goodwill Job Connections provide free assistance to help job seekers connect with potential employers and find permanent employment.  Services include access to resources like computers and the internet, fax machines, telephones, and job leads and referrals.  A trained employment specialist is on site to assist individuals with their job search.  The N. Pleasantburg Drive location will house the seventh Goodwill Job Connection in Greenville County.  

In Greenville County, Goodwill also provides job training services to help people gain the skills needed to begin careers in Manufacturing, Food Service, Retail, Construction, and as Certified Nurse Aides.  

“Last year, Goodwill was able to help 11,149 people find jobs,” says Patrick Michaels, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina.   “We look forward to increasing accessibility for job seekers in Greenville and expanding the employment services available in Greenville County.”  

Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina helps people become independent through education and training leading to employment.  Last year, Goodwill placed 11,149 people into employment through its job training programs and Goodwill Job Connection services.
