Mr. Griffin: Finding His Drive Through Hard Work
December 19, 2024
After 12 years in prison, Mr. Griffin Jr. faced the daunting challenge of reentering society. With negativity surrounding him, he chose to focus on success – one step at a time. Through Goodwill, he accessed critical support, including pre-release work readiness classes, life skills training, case management, clothing, ADSAP classes, and employment assistance.
Today, Mr. Griffin Jr. is thriving. He works full-time at BMW, has his license and a car, and lives in his own home. What’s more, he is preparing to enroll in HVAC classes to further his career goals.
“There is nothing like returning to society where negativity is at an all-time high. When working on success, don’t overwhelm yourself,” advised Mr. Griffin Jr. “Take one step at a time, write your goals down every morning, and if you don’t complete it, just know there is always tomorrow. Goodwill is the key to success.”
Mr. Griffin Jr.’s story is a powerful reminder that with determination and support, brighter days are always ahead.
