While incarcerated at Leath Correctional Institution, Leigh Chandler Meyle discovered Goodwill’s Pathway Home program. Through her dedication and hard work, she laid the foundation for a successful reentry, proving that change is possible with the right resources and determination.

Greg was struggling to find IT jobs without the right certifications. Through his wife, he discovered Goodwill’s IT Academy – and it changed everything. Now he is on a new path toward a successful tech career!

Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) has announced the temporary closure of its retail location at 412 Sulphur Springs Road in Greenville, SC on November 23, 2024. The closure will allow for a comprehensive renovation, transforming the site into the new Upstate Clearance Center, opening on December 18th at 9:00 AM.

Eric Heaton, a U.S. Army Veteran, encountered significant challenges after returning to civilian life. The shift from military structure to civilian independence weighed heavily on him, leading to isolation and depression. In his struggle to cope, Eric turned to alcohol, which ultimately brought him into contact with law enforcement and a period of incarceration. Upon release, he found himself without a home or support network, facing a daunting road to recovery and stability.

Chandra’s story is one of resilience and transformation. After his military service, he found himself navigating the challenges of civilian life alone, eventually facing homelessness. For a time, hope seemed distant, but with the help of Goodwill, he found a pathway to rebuild his life, rediscover stability, find purpose, and build a renewed sense of possibility.
