On the advice of a coworker, Taneisha attended a Goodwill Information Session for the Industry and Skills Training program in Columbia, SC. She had a clear goal: to earn her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and create a better future for herself and her family.

Since 2014, Taneisha worked primarily in food service, spending more than two years as a sandwich maker at a local fast-food restaurant. While she appreciated the experience, she dreamed of a stable career that offered financial security and the independence she needed to provide for her loved ones.

Determined to succeed, Taneisha continued working full-time while attending CDL classes through Goodwill. Balancing work and training was not easy, but her determination never wavered. She dedicated herself to the process, knowing it would lead to a life-changing opportunity.

In 2024, Taneisha achieved her goal – she earned her CDL! Reflecting on the experience, she shared, “It was a challenge, but it was worth it.” Now, with her CDL in hand, Taneisha is excited about the future and is actively searching for the “perfect” job to launch her new career.

Taneisha’s journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and the support of Goodwill’s training programs. She proves that, with hard work and determination, anyone can transform their life and create new opportunities for success.
