12 Days of Goodwill: Day 1

December 8, 2022

Mr. Bobby came to Goodwill in need of employment services after the loss of his beloved wife. At this low point, Bobby withdrew from others amid his depression and lost confidence. Needing a fresh start, Mr. Bobby walked into a Goodwill Job Connection and got involved in the SCSEP Program. He started working at Goodwill before moving on to his current job as a Walmart greeter. Mr. Bobby now has a new car, enjoys a satisfying job, and is about to move into his own place. He says, “Goodwill gave me the confidence and courage to live again!”

We place thousands of South Carolinians into meaningful employment and skills training programs each year. And through those services, people like Bobby regain their self-worth and are able to enjoy active roles in their communities. We are a locally owned and operated non-profit that – through your support – can continue to extend “Goodwill to all.” You can support our Goodwill by giving here, donating gently used goods at a donation center, or shopping in any one of our 40 retail stores.
