Kristian’s journey with Goodwill is a story about the transformative power of dedication and support. As a Pathway Home participant with Goodwill, she embraced the opportunity to shape a brighter future for herself. Her commitment to personal growth led her to discover the Second Chances Welding Apprenticeship, a path she eagerly pursued through the Goodwill program, Careers Plus.

Despite the challenges, Kristian maintained full-time employment while diligently completing welding courses online. Currently, she is actively seeking apprenticeships, fueled by the skills and knowledge gained through her hard work and determination.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Kristian found fulfillment in two meaningful roles at Oxford House – Presentations and Events Planning. These positions not only showcased her capabilities, but also brought her joy and satisfaction.

A defining moment in Kristian’s journey was her participation in the Oxford House World event in Washington DC. Connecting with over 2,500 Oxford House residents, she joined in the celebration of sobriety, describing the experience as “an amazing opportunity to go to such a beautiful place to be filled with hope and inspiration.”

As life continued to unfold, Kristian was blessed with the opportunity to be fully present at her daughter’s wedding in November. This momentous occasion marked not only a family milestone, but also a personal triumph for Kristian.
