Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina is hosting an exciting book signing event at its SecondStory bookstore on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. This special evening highlights the creative talents of local writers from the Upstate, providing an opportunity for the community to meet and support these gifted authors.

The event will take place at SecondStory, located at 115 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Visitors will enjoy a cozy atmosphere filled with great thrifted books, meaningful conversations, and the chance to purchase signed copies directly from the authors themselves.

“SecondStory is more than a bookstore; it’s a place where stories come alive and connections are made,” said Chunsta Miller, Goodwill’s VP of Communication and Public Engagement. “This book signing event is our way of celebrating the creativity and contributions of Upstate writers while fostering a love for reading and community engagement.”

Included authors are:

• Rhonda Spearman Sims: Goodwill associate and author of A Slight Interruption
• John Jeter: author of Rockin’ A Hard Place, The Plunder Room, and The Lucifer Genome: A Conspiracy Thiller
• Liz Williams: author of Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
