Goodwill SC Preparing for Grand Opening of Newest Retail Store

March 10, 2022

(Greenville, SC) Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) is preparing to open the doors to its newest retail location for donors and shoppers. On Wednesday, March 16th, Goodwill’s White Horse Road store will open to the Berea community of Greenville County.

Goodwill is proud to expand its presence in the Berea area. Just last month, GIUMSC re-opened its Sulphur Springs location as one of the non-profit’s flagship sites. Now, the White Horse Road store – located at 6700 White Horse Road – will further strengthen the organization’s presence in the Upstate and be the second location to feature Goodwill’s brand new décor. The new design and aesthetic will continue to showcase and celebrate the mission of Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina: helping people become independent through education and training, leading to employment.

Goodwill proudly invites members of the media to the pre-opening reception and ribbon-cutting on March 15th, ahead of the public grand opening on March 16th.

GIUMSC’s purpose is to provide life-changing job services for the people of South Carolina, which is not possible without the generosity of donors and shoppers. Through those unwanted or unneeded items that then bring new life and joy to shoppers, Goodwill is able to provide countless job training and placement services at no cost to participants. Goodwill programs help folks prepare for careers in healthcare, transportation, digital literacy, logistics, and customer service/retail/food service. The organization’s Job Connections also provide job seekers with access to resources and leads that can propel them in their career journeys.

Last year, Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina placed over 7,600 individuals into employment, which contributed an economic impact of $118 million through their secured wages.
