(Greenville, SC) – Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC), a well-loved fixture in our community, announces the upcoming closure of its Subway franchise, located at 115 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC 29607. The decision was made after careful consideration and is part of a strategic realignment of GIUMSC services to better serve the needs of the community.

Goodwill has been a trusted name for 50 years in the Upstate and Midlands communities, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families by providing employment opportunities, job training, and resources to help them lead independent lives.  While the Subway franchise has been an integral part of Goodwill’s mission, reallocating resources and focusing on core programs will enable them to better serve the needs of the community and achieve long-term goals.

The current employees that operate the Goodwill Subway have been offered new career opportunities within GIUMSC and will receive supportive employment services. The existing space will be transformed into a new specialty retail store that will serve as a new training program and increase Goodwill’s mission reinvestment.
